Career guidance and counselling
Career guidance cell gives training to the students in facing interviews and helps in developing personality skills. Through the English faculty are trained to develop communication skills. Proper guidance will be given to students for proper placements in both on campus and off campus interviews.
The work of the Guidance Counsellor takes place with groups and also on a one-to-one basis. It consists largely of the following functions:
1. Counselling: helping pupils with coping skills for the ever changing circumstances in their personal, educational, and career development; decision-making, problem-solving, behavioural change
2. Personal and social development
3. Career information management to acquire, store and disseminate useful careers and courses information
4. Assessment: Using psychological and educational standardised measurements
5. Vocational preparation: job search skills, work experience
6. Consultation with parents, staff and community
7. Referrals: when necessary, students are referred to qualified professionals outside College
8. Evaluation of College's guidance needs and services
